Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Edremedi is an MSME (Udyam) registered enterprise based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, operating edremedi.in. We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

2. What we collect

From parents, through the enquiry form: your name, mobile number and area in Nagpur, plus your child's grade, curriculum and the kind of support needed. Any notes you choose to add.

From educators, through the application form: your name, mobile number, email, tier, qualifications, subjects and area. If you are shortlisted, we also collect verification documents (government ID, address proof, college and qualification records) and a photo. We ask for these separately and tell you how to share them safely. Please do not send them through the website form.

From your browser: this website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when you visit. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first.

3. Why we use it

• To contact you and understand what you need.
• To match families with suitable educators.
• To verify educators and keep children safe.
• To run monthly feedback and quality checks.
• To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We use your data only for these purposes, and only with your consent or another basis the DPDP Act allows.

4. Children's data

Information about a child comes from a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent when they submit the form. We ask for the minimum: grade, curriculum and type of support. We ask you not to share a child's full name or medical details in the form. We do not track or monitor children's behaviour, and we do not direct advertising at them.

5. Who we share it with

• Matched educators: only what is needed to arrange lessons, such as the student's grade, subjects and area.
• Service providers: tools that help us receive forms, send email or messages, and host this website. They may only use data to provide their service to us.
• Authorities: where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

Educator verification pages. When an educator is approved, their verification page shows their name, photo, tier, qualifications, subjects, areas taught and check status to anyone with the link. It never shows ID numbers, phone numbers or home addresses.

6. How we protect and keep it

The website uses HTTPS. We limit access to people who need it, and keep documents such as ID copies only as long as needed for verification and safety. We delete or anonymise enquiry details once they are no longer needed for the purpose you gave them, unless the law requires us to keep them.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold and how we use it;
• correct or complete it;
• erase it, when it is no longer needed;
• stop using it, by withdrawing your consent;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot.

Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it, but we may then be unable to continue matching or teaching. Parents can exercise these rights for their child.

8. Contact and grievances

To use your rights or raise a concern, email hello@edremedi.in with your name and phone number. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.

9. Changes

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. For material changes we will make it clear on the website.
